Relaxed and friendly, contemporary conversion of the former Highland schoolhouse. School rooms are two storey en-suite apartments each with a queen size bed (most downstairs) and a sitting area with flat screen and dvd upstairs. Warm fireside snug, laundry, internet, rocking horse, lots of room and a little nostalgia. Interconnecting rooms, family and ‘less-abled’ suites are all available and there is easy parking outside and even access to a fully equipped communal chef’s kitchen, perfect for hosting a private family dinner where you can cook or we can!
The Highlander Restaurant with its local beers and home cooking is within sight; Teez Café for great coffee, breakfast and a bottle of wine over lunch is a three minute walk away.
Endless guest activities, unique tours, walks, wildlife, pioneering history and wilderness are all on your doorstep. Play golf, squash, use the gym if you have to, go fishing, mountain biking, secret lake kayaking, wonder at the stars and spot over 80 different species of birds all within striking distance of the Estate.
Sensible pricing, seriously comfortable beds, fluffy towels and complimentary bathroom toiletries. Great for families, groups and touring couples. Under Tasmanian law, all our accommodation is non smoking.
All our scholars rooms are two storey and equipped with a queen bed. We do have a few family rooms which can be booked direct depending on the bedding configuration you require. We also offer a ‘less-abled’ wing with one king bed and 3 single beds (2 of which are upstairs).
